Advances in Ferrite-Integrated On-Chip Inductors Using Aerosol Deposition

By Scooter D. Johnson | US Naval Research Laboratory

The drive toward miniaturization of devices such as computers and cellular phones has pushed the limits of component design and materials engineering to smaller sizes and more efficient power consumption. One such component that still requires a relatively large footprint is the embedded inductor. <read more>

Numerical Simulation of Permanent Magnets

By Thomas Schliesch | Max Baermann GmbH

Personal Experiences from Past to Present: I started with these subjects at the end of the 80s in a company that was considered a small scale company in those times. For organizations like that, and even for bigger organizations, FEM and other numerical methods were more or less exotic. At the end of the 80s hardware resources were generally poor and very expensive. I started on an Intel 286 computer with a hard drive of 40MB. Today it happens to me often at daily work, that only one analysis casts around 10GB onto my hard disc. What a difference! <read more>

Oz-headshotThe EMI Design Seminar
Instructor: Richard Ozenbaugh – Ozenbaugh Engineering

January 20, 2015 (8 AM – 5 PM) – Beverages and Course Materials Provided

Registration-button_web

Register before December 20th: $495 | Register after December 20th: $695

Who should attend this seminar?
Any person that foresees EMI challenges on the horizon should attend. System engineers, Power supply engineers, and any Electronic engineers should also attend. It could be advisable for Mechanical engineers also attend so that they will know why the filter must be handled for best results. Some mechanical engineers have compromised the EMI filter so the designed filter loss is greatly reduced.
